New sony ericsson phone is pairing fine with the built in handsfree kit in the car. It connects but is only staying connected for a couple of seconds and then disconnects. Have you come across this before and is it possible to update the software for the car?

have you had any other phones connected to your bluetooth?if so could be a problem with your phone

no problem with my old nokia phone. i'm told my problem is with the bluetooth softwear in the car . is it possible to update the car's b/t softwear ? thanks for your help
