2007 Vauxhall Vectra starting

any other fault codes stored?check the cambelt timing is correct,you need to check the wiring for the camshaft sensor,if these are ok then you will need the ecm replaced and programmed by vauxhall,

have the feeling that the mechanic changed the cam belt sensor instead of the crankshaft sensor[the latter was cleaned and returned]...this might explain why the warning light is now off but the problemn still exists...i got the impression that he had not seen either before ,the diagnostics said cam[according to him] but he took off the crank untill realising that the new part looked nothing like it as it was the cam...he has warned me that after fitting the new cam shaft sensor that the crankshaft sensor normally goes soon also...does not make sense to me feel he is covering his back

Crankshaft sensors do give problems , might be advisable to check / change . Have a look at this from another forum re .the ect sensor .

coolant temp sensor! may be worth checking this its cheaper than an ecu
