when you go over a bump in the road tere is a knocking noise from the front

Do you get the noise when turning,and on full lock,if yes check around your cv joint,check your rubber gaiter,for splits,knocking when turning is mostly cv,or a bearing,sorry but trying to answer problems is mosty guess work and experiences's is your steering ok,are your tyres ok,these are sign's of other problems to do with your steering,and knocking.

This is most prob your anti roll bar bush (joint) I have the same prob not sure of the cost but I think its a lot.
