2007 Vauxhall Vectra headlights

Hi
The headlights on my vectra simply arent bright enough to drive with in the dark and dont project far enough up the road even cars behide me on the motorway light up more ahead whilst i cast a shadow having to drive with my fog lights on! can anyone help?

first thing is to check the light output easy if you work at an mot station,or have a good locam mot place they can check the output too make sure the mirrors are ok,they will also check alignment.if after this they are still dim but mot ok id try hid headlamp kits they are sold at halfords etc etc ,brighter bulbs etc,but check lamps are ok first

Im having the exact problem.... I own a fleet of Vauxhall vectra's and understand if the problem was in one but in every single one....???? I've tryed and adjusted the headlights no joy! Checked if the bulbs are sitting correctly which they are even changed the bulb output still the same....... its almost non existant when driving at night yet if you look at the lights they shine bright....!!!!!
