when i start my car i have one or two tappets making a noise only for about 2 mins some one told me they are hydrulic tappets is there any way i can quite these down

You can flush engine and change oil and filter ,especially if not been done for a while ,should help . You can also get additives like Wynns Hydraulic Tappet Treatment or any similar product .

if changing the oil and filter and using additives does`nt work then you will need to change the noisey tappets
