loses power at random, loss of acceleration. chuggs along 5 miles an hour for anything up to 2 miles then power kicks in again. aa breakdown and garage diagnostic shows no fault. garage has flashed the software ( whatever that is) and replaced the throttle body fault reoccured 6 weeks later. mechanics have no idea what to do.

check the inlet manifold, egr valve and swirl flaps are not carboned up,check all your intake pipes and intercooler for damage, and make sure your boost pressure actuator is working ok and that the vacuum pipes are fitted tightly, has the ems light ever come on when fault present?if so a fault code should be stored.it might be worth checking your dpf and the differential pressure sensor

Thank you for your suggestion. i am not a mechanic, i have taken the car to the vauxhall dealer where i was sold the car several times, they replaced the throttle body, but the problem persisted. have just today got it back from the same garage and as before the diagnostics did not show any error codes. its a case of the computer says no........ I have printed off your suggestion and will pass it on to a garage that might be able to help.

Hi ive got a Vectr SRi V6 Cdti, just had months of trouble with it, Vauxhall main dealers are hopeless.

Mine was just hesitiating / holding back in any gear in n out of the turbo, spent 400+ at Vauxhall they said it needed a new turbo quoted me 2 and a half grand. Light was coming on never any codes logged.

After several garages later, the cure seems to have been a new fuel filter 13 quid and getting BP Ultimate Fuel rather than the usual Morrisions / tesco rubbish i used to get, the car seems fine now, all the powers back, no stuttering / jerking, pulls for england.

So you may as well as try it, something you could do urself, a bit of redex or millers mite not hurt either. Wont cost you much, don't let them say its not it, try it.

Hope this helps and Good Luck
