2005 Vauxhall Vectra engine management light code 4497 help??

My engine management light comes on during a short journey, also returning to drive the car and trying to drive it comes on and cuts out with no power to engine.its had a diagnostic scan and the code 4497 shows up please does any one know what fault this code indicates ?

yes and weve phoned the local vauxhall dealer and spoken to the service guy who says its an official vauxhall code but wont divulge the cause to us.
