engine light on my p reg vectra comes on when i start car.drives the same but the other morning on the way home from work it didnt come on and then i got to end of road and car cut out when i went to pull away so i restarted it and it started fine but engine light came on.it drives the same but the kight is on dont know what to do

Need to get it scanned to see what codes are shown. Either that or do the clip test to check .
