1998 Vauxhall Vectra corbon deposits in throttlbody

I keep getting corbon deposits in the throttle body wich send the engine managment light nuts and at worse it wont hold tick over and stalls, I have fitted a extra filter at the front of the rocker as reccommended by vauxhal,ran injection cleaner, but it still doing it.

Breather pipes from the rocker cover are usually fed into the throttle body & into the inlet manifold where toxic oil fumes from the engine are burnt (bloody hippys), over time the throttle & inlet manifold can become lined with oil sludge.

I cleaned my throttle body with carb cleaner, cleaned out nicely with no effort at all, then I directed the largest breather pipe into a catch tank (afterall there's no point in cleaning it if it's only going to get covered in oil again), & blocked the rest of the pipes.

if you have done the breather mod then the problem should not have come back for many months at least
