2004 Vauxhall Vectra noise from dash

hi, on start up but after key is released i get a clacking noise from the dash, it does not come from the engine compartment, it is a mechanical clacking noise like a gearwheel trying to mesh, it clacks 5 or 6 times then stops it doe's not affect the performance and no warning lights come on.

Sounds like noise from air con / heater .
