hi. just this week, my car has started playing up. when i start the car, it engine sounds like a tank ( engine manager light not on). In what ever gear, i cant go over 30 miles an hour. I pulled out the leads from engine, which had oil on. i replaced the head gasket. No more oil going in to plugs. I could be going along and it feels like the car will get some extra power for a few seconds. Then, it might run ok. engine manager light some times comes on. not always. When idol, the engine seems to have a rumble to it. Then again, some times its ok. I thought it might be some thing to do with the fule lines?? but not a clue as to way its doing this? Any help. lee

poss the catalytic converter has broken up, when the engine is cold lay under the car and hit the cat a few times if it rattles the cats broken,vauxhall recommend a new cat every 10 years or 100,00 miles, the cat is the first box in line (where it joins the downpipe from the engine) hope this is of help
