2003 Vauxhall Vectra turbo overboost problem.

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 2003
Variant: 2.2 dti
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
gents, i am new to this site so i really appreciate you all taking the time and trying to help me out with my problem. I have a vauxhall vectra estate 2.2 dti 2003. My starter motor has recently gone on my car and this is due to get fixed on wednesday, since i started to have dramas with the starter motor i also appear to have lost my turbo, the vehicle is very sluggish and when over about 2000 revs in 3rd gear upwards (99% of the time) the engine management light comes on and puts me into limp home mode, when i dont need to bump my car and i turn off the ignition the fault appears gone, although no turbo still, but when the speed gets up the EML comes on again, i have just this evening had a friend of mine read the codes for the engine and it has brought up the following, P0110----Intake air temp sensor
P0105----Manifold Pressure
P0234----Turbo Overboost.
These problems have only appeared now that the starter motor is actually fucked and needs bumping 90% of the time, however having forked out to get this into a garage i dont really want to pay the added expense of having these faults rectified, does anyone have any clue what the hell these mean?, how i might be able to fix them? anything that may be of any help to me in the slightest, i do know a couple of mechanics but it was my wife who booked this into the garage as im off to canada for 6 months at the end of the month with work, i dont want to leave her with a shed of a car so any help is greatly appreciated, i have had a look at the sensors but have no idea what the hell im looking for if im honest, the main pipe off the turbo isnt burnt or ripped etc, i do possess some vehicle knowledge so can do some things you guys may suggest. My apologies if this message is all over the place i just dont want to miss anything.

Thanks Guys

Came across this which might help you ,

Turbo over-boost condition detected. Fault; wastegate not closing [enough]. Possibles:-

Wastegate itself [clogged; seized]. Hose; wastegate to control solenoid. Control solenoid itself [or it's filter blocked?]. Wiring of solenoid; from relay and to ECU. Hose; solenoid to t-piece. T-piece. Hose; T-piece to vac pump. Vac pump; services half - internal damage; low vac. [Common if oil was ever low.]

and this,

Okay after a lot of head scratching and swearing I found the problem, or should I say problems. Firstly the thin plastic pipe from the throttle housing had chaffed and the hole was the size of a pin head. Replacing that cured the problem for about 5 minutes and the spanner light re-appeared. Anyways after ruling out various sensors I decided to unplug the EGR valve and plug it back in sure enough the light went out. Armed with brake cleaner I removed the EGR valve and soaked the ****** and put it back together. Guess what no more spanner lights and the thing goes like a rocket again. It must have sucked some grit in there causing the valve to stick anyways all is well now.

Hope this helps you with the problem .
