2000 Vauxhall Vectra having problems getting it to go in 1st gear

everynow and then [ maybe twice to three times a day] i have problems gettin in to first gear it doesnt allways happen but when it does i have to go in and out of the other gears a few times to get it in all other gears go in fine

Could be clutch fault ?

If the clutch pedal is weak and finally when it does select first gear then if it doesnt pick up speed and the revs go high then it shows that clutch is faulty. if that seems ok then change your gear box oil it should solve it. because i myself also have a zafira but ive got the gear box oil changed and it s fine. hope for the best.

before you have any of the suggestion mentioned ie the other posts have the selector box checked as these are common to wear out and cause problems getting gears like you are having hope this helps have this checked out first just to save you pennies
