2006 Vauxhall Vectra warning lights

Last week the car & spanner light came on and about 10 mins later the engine packed in, started again after a couple of goes, done it a few times since. Now the engine symbol light has come on, i got a fault code reader and 2 fault codes came back, P1112 and P0100, the engine now sounds as though it hasnt had a service in about 3 years and its getting me a bit worried now.
Any solid ideas as to what it could be and maybe how to sort it out would be greatly appreciated. THANKS.

check there is no blocage of the air intake system try a new mass air flow sensor do you know anyone else with same car who would let you try theirs

Havent tried anything as yet, will look into what you said and see what happens, thanks.

The left side lights on will not turn off even though the ignition is switched off.
