2000 Vauxhall Vectra driverside window

I went to put my electric window down and when i did, as the window was going down, the glass looked like it came off the lever as it left a huge gab when I pulled the the window back up. can you tell how i can fix this problem.

Also can you recommend me any car spray painting books or websites as I would like to learn how to spry paint.

Sounds as if the window has came off channel/ guides/ runner , need to strip down door to see what problem is .
