Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 1999
Variant: 2000 auto
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi all.
I slide on ice and smashed into aa round about, totalled the drivers front wheel and pushed it back a few inches.
The wishbone is buckeled and needs replacing, that i know.
I cant see any other damage, can anyone advise me if there could be unseen damage or problems with the wheel being pushed back.
All help and advise would be greatfully recieved, as im in holland on a xmas break, and need to get home in the knew year.
Ive got european break down cover but they have been of no use.
Its a lot more complicated over here, as i dont have mates to ring for help.
So i need international rescue lol.
Kind regards hugh

You might be lucky and get away with new wishbone .Check that the subframe / chassis where the wishbone anchors is not damaged ,also check steering rack is o.k. and not bent . Check wheel and tyre for damage and buckle .Check front susp. strut is not bent or damaged .If you replace wishbone , it should give you a rough visual idea if it is going to be o.k .Then you'll need a geometry ,alignment check .Make sure there is no tightness in steering .Best I can suggest to help , hope you're lucky and get away with a wishbone to get you home .
