2004 Vauxhall Vectra boot not opening

bought this turkey last Dec and had many probs . Latest is that I cant get the boot to open ( 5door hatch model) I press the button on the drivers door and it beeps , but when I press the actual boot release button on the boot lid - nothing happens . I've tried to lock and unlock with the key- and at the drivers door but still nowt . Any help guys please? also no radio controls etc from the steering wheel , and left set of illumination lights on the steering wheel dont work . Cheers , and thanks if you can help me . Rick 56

This is someone else with same fault and how they fixed it , though you don't mention year of car .
I had the same problem on my vectra. you have to put the back seats down, crawl into the boot and there is a little plastic cap over the lock on the inside. Pop that off and there is a screw underneath, twist that with a screw driver and it unlocks... hope that helps
Re . electrical faults , first thing to check would be fuses .

Did this fix the problem permanently or just allow you to open the boot? I have the same problem which freed itself but the boot's got stuck again. Does it need a replacement part?

I know that you said you looked at the fuse box and could not see any fuse, on the Astra the fuse is the same one as for the windscreen washers, it is a 10 amp micro fuse, maybe it is the same on the vectra, are the washers working? worth a look.
