2000 Vauxhall Vectra changed battery no revs

The battery on my vectra died,so after starting it using jump leads, I had a new battery fitted. Now the car will idle but no more than that.
I believe the accelerator is computer controled
any advice would be most welcome.

try disconect batt.reconnect turn iggy to pos 2 do not start wait 10 secs then start this should set throttle motor,if not try main dealer as different models set up in different ways
