1999 Vauxhall Vectra clutch biting point is very high

THe biting point of the clutch is very high. My foot is almost off the pedal. Can anyone give me some useful tips as to what to look for

Hi l have never owned a vectra, so l have to give you 2 possible solutions.

lf the clutch is hydraulic, then your clutch friction plate is probably the problem, nearing the end of its life, and will shortly need replacement. as labour is more than the parts, l would replace the 3 pieces.

lf the clutch has a cable you may be lucky and this can be adjusted. However a lot of cables now are self adjusting, so you may still have to replace the clutch.
