2005 Vauxhall Vectra windscreen washer working intermittently on front fine on back

Bit of a technical problem this one.Took car for mot, Failed due to intermittent front screen washer. works sometimes not others. Rear washer 100% reliable.
Took to garage, have swapped the tubes around so the front works but the back does not work. Garage not sure what the problem is. Suggested trip to main dealer, but would like to know possible causes first to avoid excess cost ETC. If anyone can advise or has had similar, I would be grateful for advice. THANKS!!

could be the wiper stalk switch breaking down but do check the feed at the washer pump for continuity if you do have a feed then the switch should be ok and it may even be a faulty intermitant pump

The vauxhalls are prone for the washer pumps failing but as the other member said check what feeds you have there if you have it all there and it is not operating give the pump a slight hit you will usually find it will start going pointing to a faulty pump
