Hi there can anyone help some times i get a warning light of the car with the spanner going thro it for a week or too then it will go off for a week or two.

I HAVE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY VECTRA TOOK IT TO DEALER SAID CANT FIND PROBLEM COS WHEN ENGINE IS TURNED OFF IT RESETS ITSELF ,EVEN THE OWNERS MANUAL TELLS YOU TO "PULL OVER & TURN ENGINE OFF AS THIS WILL CURE IT". ITS A ENGINE PROTECTION CODE SO THEY SAY & IS USUALLY CAUSED BY LOSE CONNECTION. SORRY NOT MUCH HELP BUT DONT WASTE MONEY TO BE TOLD SAME AS ME ITS A PAIN WHEN ON THE MOTORWAY AS IT ONLY SEEMS TO HAPPEN ON LONG JOURNEYS

i agree, had this problem too with a vectra... changed the engine wireing loom complete. all ok after that. havent seen the car back for that problem since. hope this helps!!!

Got the same problem with my 2.0d comes on for about 20secs after start up but then goes out.Checked it on a code reader and no faults were stored so i am ignoring it.
