(abs) light comes on and off

when I turn engine on abs light is on but sometimes when I start it the light is off it is coming up for its mot soon if any1 can help hope its not a big problem some1 did say try cleaning battery terminals might help any ideas on problem would be very helpful thanks

Should be able to pull stored fault codes from the ABS ECU with a scan tool.
Get It scanned.
