Hi guys got vectra 1.8 petrol eml came on done scan got po170 code and 420 catalysts could this happen because I only do short trips like pick son up from school and to and from work which is approx 1 mile from home

Your p0170 code means fuel trim,
This means the car is trying to correct it's air fuel ratio,
and failing.
Probably because of an ait intake leak.
I don't know who did your scan but they miss diagnosed.

Hello & Help. Vectra 1.8 Petrol 2003, on start up revs bouncing up & down, settles down but engine jumping, feels like its missing, but drives fine & no power loss, but feel jump every few while driving & when idling sounds & feels rough/bouncing.
Just been MOT'd & changed front exhaust section (removing Lambaha Sensor from old exhaust with heat).
Any ideas

I also had scan (by friend) & came up with P0 170 = Fuel Trim, but no way or don't no how to cure/reset this?
Could this be a faulty Lambda sensor?
