2006 Vauxhall Vectra car will not start after changing starter motor/battery

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 2006
Variant: SRI CDTI 150 BHP Diesel
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi, my problem:
My car will not start - flat battery symptoms - did not crank, tried jump start - no joy, changed starter motor - no joy, bad earth - no joy, inspected ignition barrel (removed it) + checked for loose wires at ignition point etc - no joy, checked relays - no joy, finally, changed battery - car cranks now but will not start, have I upset the ignition immobilser/ecu unit by removing the ignition barrel/ring etc? Any help appreciated. Joe

I have exactly the smae problem. Also I have no ECU light on the dash so cant check fault codes. The central locking is working though. Checked fuses and relays all good. Reset the key but no joy. I think the ECU is next to be changed.
No idea if that will work.
Other suggestions please.
