2005 Vauxhall Vectra windscreen washer non-return-valve not working

The screen washer pump runs and the jets/pipes are not blocked. The washers got less powerful over a period of weeks and now don't work at all.
Do I have to remove the ns headlamp to get access to replace the non-return-valve ? (or am I wrong and is there another reason for this fault ?)

Some pumps have a filter which get clogged up with soap / gunge .

as above remove and check pump filter
