2006 Vauxhall Vectra instrument dispaly keeps cutting out

all electriacl functions continue to work but main instrument display i.e. speedo,rev, conter, petrol, etc cuts out. tends to restart when switch ignition back off and on.

could be worth checking connections to cluster or disconnecting battery for an hour then reconnect if no better would say you could be looking at a cluster repair

I had the same problem I called out RAC and they checked and diagnosed my alternator was dead and the only thing happening was all my gauges were flat, I no management light nothing.
