2001 Vauxhall Vectra cutting out and losing revs

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.8 sri 130
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Can anyone please help. My vectra started off juddering whilst being driven at all speeds every now and then. The car gets very hot whilst driving it even on the shortest of journeys, if we keep the blower on at 3 it cools the temp down. Recently the car has started cut out at junctions and when slowing down, sometimes it takes a few goes to restart it. When sat in traffic the car loses its revs, the engine is still ticking over but theres no revs. Have took to an auto electrician and he cant find a fault. PLEASE all advise would be helpful.

Better to take to a garage and get a mechanic to check it over rasther than an auto electrician .You may have more than one fault from what you describe .Could be something simple or major like head gasket .Overheating could be thermostat stuck , head gasket , fan not cutting in etc. etc . Juddering could plugs , leads and many other possible causes , needs checking out .
