2002 Vauxhall Vectra boot lid

Hi don't know if anyone can help or has had the same problem but I have a 2002 vauxhall vectra Sri and the boot lid does not open when trying to operate it by the botton on the drivers door or by pressing the key fobe botton only by opening it with the key itself not much of a problem it's just I'm lazy and can't be botherd to get out of the car when I drop my misses and kids off down town lol

First thing to check would be to see if you are getting power to lock / actuator .
