Engine starting fault

1998 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 TDI
Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 1998
Variant: 2.0 TDI
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The engine starts and runs for approx. 30 seconds. It then stops. I have to prime it 10 times for the engine to start again. At that point the engine management light comes on, however the car seems to run fine. I have had a new pump fitted but that still hasn't solved the problem. Neither my local garage or Vauxhall know how to solve the problem. Has anyone had a similar problem or got any ideas on how to solve it?

Is it not throwing up any codes ?

Have had a similar issue with fuel run back and had to fit valves onto the fuel line to stop it , on another vehicle ,found it to be a pump fault.
