2002 Vauxhall Vectra dashboard stops working abs light comes on

Dashboard dials stop working abs light comes on seat belt warning chimes then clocks start working then same again then start working then lights and chime and dashboard dies and radio had dash out tryed fuses any body got any ideas was thinking overchargeing battery or alternator?

There was problems with wiring harness connector on the ABS control unit (I think it's near the battery ). Could check that out .
If not that could be a faulty CIM .

Take it the plug into back of instrument cluster was ok. when you had it out ? An over charging alternator would give you other signs like cooking the battery and giving off fumes , blowing bulb filaments etc.The dashboard fault is very common on that car .

Possibly alternator is faulty ,will give you all those symptoms,also make sure your ignition switch is ok,no free play in it.
