2003 Vauxhall Vectra wiper blade position

When my wiper is switched off the blades finish in an upright position, pretty awkward in town traffic.

The linkage has slipped on the motor drive spigot, you need to undo the centre retaining nut, lift the linkage clear of the motor, move the blades to the park position, then refit and tighten securely the spigot nut.

If the blades are covering / wiping the screen normally , it cant be the position of the arms on the splines of the wheel box . It must be a fault with the parking mechanism in the motor .

Just noticed I miss read Avantime4Mike's post .I thought he was referring to the wheel box spindles not the motor spigot . Apologies .Certainly worth a look .
