the fault is intermittent when the car is hot after a journey stop car come out 10-15 mins latter wont start turns over but will not fire wait a bit longer car starts up ok

Could be TDC sensor, but the guessing game could go on and on. Might be better to get a code read to find out a more definite answer...

no fault logged in the ecu and no engine management light on.
