2008 Vauxhall Vectra engine missfire when going from 5th to 6th

The car would get a bad missfire when changing gear and would make the whole car shudder, scary when you have just overtaken someone and there are catching you up !! It would only do this when it was hot,so took it to a local vauxhall dealer ! aarrah see fix page

My local vauxhall dealer said that it was a EGR problem ! so they said that they could sort it , great the car is still under warranty , well the car is but not that part ! ok so how much is the part flipping lots HOW MUCH ! so i took the car to a mechanic mate who said no problem i will just clean it out ,10 mins later and £20 lighter its done . I have the EGR Valve cleaned every time i have the car serviced . It goes like a rocket now Hope this helps others
