our 05 plate vectra cuts out as we go into a right turn, the spanner light appears and this fault has been diagnosed as an alternator fault, cant understand why this should happen wont do it going left any help or clues would be a help, no other problems with vehical

Check the earth lead from battery to body is good, also the earth strap from gearbox to body...

Open the bonnet and get someone to turn the steering wheel fully clockwise while you look to see if any electical wires get trapped anywhere whilst turning the wheels.
