2005 Vauxhall Vectra car cutting out under load

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.9 cdti sri 150
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi all,

I have a vectra cdti which is causing me a real headache. last night the car was driving perfectly when it suddenly cut out and wouldnt start again for a few minutes. when this happened the spanner light came on but when i checked it vis diagnostics this morning there was no error codes stored on the system.
So i took it another few drives to distinguish any characteristics that occur beforehand.
it will sit at full revs on idle all day long and wont even misfire, however if you then drive the car you can feel it start to stutter when the turbo kicks in and the higher up the rev counter you go then all of a sudden it completely cuts out and takes a few minutes before it will start again.
anyone have any ideas or heard of this happening before?

sorry i have not come across this before but you could try cleaning the maf sensor and the egr valve as these can become choked up with carbon and can cause problems also the 150,s are prone to swirl valve problems but i am not sure of the symptoms when they do fail you could try the vectra c signum owners website there is a lot of helpfull guys on there
