2008 Vauxhall Vectra lower the dipped beam

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 2008
Variant: life 1.9CDTI
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
I need to lower the Dipped Beam on the Driver - side Headlamp of the Vectra. I can see the two adjustment sockets. Can anyone clarify which adjustment socket I need to adjust i.e. should I adjust the one closer to the Wing (i.e the one with the horizontal arm attached)of the Car or the middle of the Car. The Alignment on the Passenger Dipped Beam is perfect so I only need to adjust the Driver's side.

how do you know it needs adjusting? easiest way is to park close to a wall or garage door and just experiment with the adjusters. you may have a poor fitting or faulty bulb though

Paulieone. I know because it failed the NCT i.e the equivalent of your MOT on account of it. I have already done the Wall etc item after dark on Sat. Parked the Car circa 4 feet from the Wall - marked the Drivers dipped beam on same - then adjusted the Drivers dipped beam down by 3.5 Inches on the Wall using the adjuster closest to the middle of the car. I have it booked for the re-test of the Drivers dipped beam and expect that it should now be ok to pass.

Thanks Kevin
