hi i have a 02 plate vectra 1.8 petrol ever since iv had the car it will not rev over 4000rpm revs are up and down on idle and chuggs down the road and also cut out when warm it got the engine light on i hve it looked and and ll it says is there is a temp sencor reading -40 iv changed 3 witch are 1 on the thermostat houseing 2nd for the temp gauge and 3rg the one on the radiatior for the fan as it was inop so im now at a bit of a loose what eles could i look for i am a mechanic myself so now i give up

have you cleared the faults from the ecu?

ye mate i have and it comes straight back on

what exactly is the fault code and what does it say

im not sure exactly out ill put it on the laptop tomorrow and get the code
