control indicator for engine electronics stays on while driving.Looked at handbook and it says that the electronics switch to an emergency running programme so that driving may be continued.You are then adviced to consult a vaxhall dealership.Any help would be most grateful.Thanks in advance.

sorry but you are going to need to take the car to the dealers to have the fault codes cleared and what the cause of the problem is rectified

i had a 1.8 16 valve with the same problem,i went to a main dealer and spent £200 on new wires that they said i needed,all well and good for about 6 months,then the same problem again so i took the car to a local garage and they reset the computer for me and told me all vectras do the same thing,myne was p reg,after a three months of reseting the computer and going to the garage all the time i got rid it was just costing money,soz
