Radio comes on by itself

hia came home parked car up and locked it then a guy came to the and said that my radio was on so I went and switched it of and locked car up again went back in house a few mins past and some one else was at the door about radio back on again? so I switched it of again and sat in the car and locked it from inside but after awhile the radio just came on by its self so in order not to go out to a flat battery Ive diconected the earth from the battery can anybody tell me how to fix this problem with radio

Complaint:Flat battery due to self switching on of the radio.
Cause:Malfunction of the "CD-In-Recognition" switch of the CD drive.

Remedy:

In case of customer complaint the radio has to be replaced by a modified device with a new designed "CD-In-Recognition" switch. New parts can be recognized on the manufacturing date on the housing. From CW 04/2005 on (FD 0405 on the label) the radios are equipped with a modified CD drive.
Note: Radios produced after mentioned breakpoint will not be accepted at radio-supplier and will be sent back to the dealer immediately.

whittingehame, thanks for answer to radio problem so if I replace it, will this cure the prblem?

If it's not been changed before and is the model listed , (CD 30) should cure fault .
