2008 Vauxhall Vectra trip computer not working

When pressing the "BC" button on the infotainment system the dispay shows "No System"
Does this model not have a trip computer ?.
I have heard that is does have have the trip computer but its not enabled.
I have also heard that if the above is correct the trip computer can be enabled with something called a "tech 2 tester".

This refers to an Astra , but should be similar set up and helps explain how you go about getting it enabled .
