Brake/clutch fluid loss

2001 Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 sri 130
Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.8 sri 130
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Recently I have had to keep topping up the brake reservoir on a weekly basis, have checked the reservoir, brake lines and brake pads, discs and callipers but see no sign of leaks.
Been told the clutch master or slave cylinder could be at fault but have no idea how to find out.

Check inside car at top of clutch pedal for signs of master cyl leaking fluid .If it's the slave cyl .that's leaking , that is inside gear box / clutch housing .

if it is either are they easy to fix for a novice or a trip to the garage to save any further problems?
i do the majority of stuff myself but if its a safety thing id rather have help and being brake reservoir is a safety matter
