1997 Vauxhall Tigra not starting

Car: Vauxhall Tigra
Year: 1997
Variant: 1400
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
the ignition was left on with all the lights on dash up and the radio on on my tigra for about 20 mins. After this it would not start just made a clicking sound when i tried to start it. I put a new battery on and it started and was ok until later in the day when i was driving the dash lights started to dim like it was loosing power. I stopped and tried to start it again and it would not start just made the clicking sound again. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Sounds like battery flat again due to alternator fault .You would be advised to get alternator tested , simple test .
