Car: Vauxhall Tigra
Year: 2005

Eventually got the car going but no power on the accelerator

Need to LOAD test battery and check alternator charging o.k If battery has dud cell or alternator faulty ( or both ) could be inadequate power for engine

I will try this later when I get home just can't understand why the batteries run down overnight

If you have a dud cell , battery is knackered and wont hold a charge , or you have a drain on electrics
Answered Apr 13, 2022 (2 years ago)
So would that cause it not to have an acceleration and a spanner to be on the dashboard

You should always start a new post rather than tag on to an old one as it can go unnoticed First thing I would check are the two fuses for the steel roof in the engine compartment fuse box , pull both and then refit back
