Now iv read you can give it a clean and blank it off butwould I need to replace the EGR, then blank it off or would a clean and blank off do it? Thanks

Could be number of things,
And just throwing new parts at it is a hell of an expensive way to "TRY! to fix it.
Get it fault code read,
either at a garage or buy a cheap code reader.
Either option is cheaper than the money the new MAF has cost you.
