Engine Light Sensor

2000 Vauxhall Tigra

Hi, Had recon altinator fitted to my 2000 Tigra the other week and engine light kept coming on at ignition and staying on. Took it back to the garage and they now say it's the sensor which they'll replace for another £80. My worry is if I pay out for this will the engine light still be on?

if igination is staying on thats is usally a battery or alternator problem so the garge need to solve that problem first and for senor light could be faulty ask the garage if they can garaute that this will solve the problem or get another garage to look at it

Hi, It's not the ignition light that stays on it's the engine light and this is only happening since the reconditioned altinator was put in.
