2003 Vauxhall Meriva p0340 code

Car: Vauxhall Meriva
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.6 single cam
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
my meriva has developed fault code P0340 and will not rev past 3500 rpm. I know it is a cam sensor code, but I have replaced it and the fault and code are still there. I have checked the wiring and all seems ok except the supply voltage appears to be 3v and not 5 volts as specified. Any ideas????

Hi! I'm Max from Vauxhall Customer Service. The fault code P0340 on your particular vehicle relates to there being poor contact between the wiring harness connector and camshaft sensor.

I hope that helps!

Thanks

I've unplugged it and plugged it in several times. Rechecked the voltage and now get 4.86v. Still getting the same fault. Are you talking about the connections to the sensor????
Many thanx for your response Max.
