2004 Vauxhall Meriva reversing lights not working

the reversing lights will not work I have changed the bulbs and checked the fuses.
I think it could be the sensor or switch.
but do not know where to find the switch / sensor so I can have check of it.

Normally on gear box with two pin plug going into it .
