2004 Vauxhall Meriva having trouble starting the car

i'm having trouble starting the car everyday it is taking upto 5 times to get going and when i finally get going every hill i go up the car seems to be making a sort of spitting noise like something is blocked does anyone know if it could have something to do with the fuel injectors or the cylinders?

when it starts does it run ok or misfire,you could have a dodgy injector best to get a diagnostic to check for any codes,it will give you a better idea of where to start
