Intermittent non start

Hi , the Meriva has started not starting . It turns over fine but won't fire .... then when it feels like it , it will turn over and start . No warning lights on and runs and drives fine when its running ... Any help.or ideas very welcome.... Thanks

Its more when its hot and been left .....seems to start OK when cold .......

Could be crankshaft sensor , often fails when hot then fine when left to cool / go cold .

Thanks for the reply ..... Would crank sensor throw up a fault code or warning light , do you know ? I'm starting to think some sort of immobiliser fault....as it drives perfectly when its running...no cutting out or rough running.... what a pain...

A crank sensor would normally throw a code , but being intermittent might not .
