Warning says to top up oil even though only done 200 mps since service

Check oil level , any oil leaks .If all ok possibly faulty sensor . The Vauxhall 1.6 engines were bad for oil consumption ( up to 1 litre of oil every 1000 miles they said was acceptable in owners h/book ) but thought that would have been fixed by now .
